Selected Events and Activities

The activities of SUGUD began in parallel with the preparation and establishment of the organization itself, reflecting an early and deliberate commitment to lawful, transparent, and rights-based public action. From its inception, SUGUD has relied on peaceful legal demonstrations and international advocacy as core tools to highlight systemic violations affecting children and families.

In April 2025, SUGUD carried out its first legal demonstration in front of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France. This initial action marked the organization’s formal entry into the international human rights arena and signaled its intention to address family justice violations through lawful, visible, and institutionally directed engagement.

This was followed in May 2025 by the second legal demonstration in London, aimed at raising public and institutional awareness within a broader European and international context. The London action reinforced SUGUD’s message that family justice failures are not isolated national issues but matters of international human rights concern.

In August 2025, SUGUD organized its third legal demonstration in The Hague, in front of the International Criminal Court. This event underscored the organization’s legal framing of systematic family separation as a serious human rights issue requiring international scrutiny and accountability.

The organization then intensified its presence in Switzerland. On 3 and 13 October 2025, SUGUD conducted its fourth and fifth legal demonstrations in front of the Palais des Nations in Geneva, directly engaging the United Nations human rights environment. These actions emphasized documentation, legality, and peaceful advocacy, aligned with international norms of civic participation.

The year concluded on 24 December 2025 with SUGUD’s sixth legal demonstration, once again in front of the Palais des Nations in Geneva. Holding this action on an internationally symbolic date highlighted the human impact of forced family separation, particularly on children during periods traditionally associated with family unity.
